About Author Rose Ann Hirsch
Rose Ann Hirsch is an avid roller coaster and amusement park enthusiast whose passion for the industry began at a very young age. Starting in her teenage years, she began building extensive files on amusement parks past and present, helping preserve their history for future generations.
Her fascination with the paranormal began at age eleven after reading Antonia Barber’s The Ghosts. Since then, Rose Ann has been crafting her own ghost stories, sparking a lifelong interest in haunted places and unexplained phenomena. In 2006, she became a paranormal investigator, which later inspired her to write Dead Park Tales, a fiction series centered around ghostly occurrences at amusement parks.
In addition to her Dead Park Tales, Rose Ann has authored three non-fiction history books on her favorite parks:
- Crystal Memories: 101 Years of Fun at Crystal Beach Park
- Western New York Amusement Parks
- and Kiddie Parks of the Adirondacks
Her artistic talents and love of antique carousels also led to a career as a carousel horse restorer, beginning in 1989.
Today, Rose Ann continues to explore amusement parks across North America with her husband, whom she met at Kennywood Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
